Degree Cooling Tower Management commits to maintain an OSHA compliant comprehensive Safety Program. This program shall be our "Bible" as it pertains to working safely. "To be successful, safety must be more than a program or a book/procedures. It must be a company philosophy - an attitude that is unquestioned" - Less McGraw, Fluor Daniel.

Safety is a large component of our company Mission. It starts from the top down - management walks the talk at Degree Cooling Towers. Safety is in our mindset. It is part of our attitude. We start with an engaging employee orientation program. We have the buy-in of management to first line supervisors, to experienced field personnel. Together, we introduce our safety-minded culture to new employees. They hear us explain how everything we do each day must be looked at from a safety perspective. We encourage employee participation, starting with daily JSA development, review of job procedures, empowerment of each employee, etc... We encourage employees questioning of procedures, and give them authorization to stop a task if they do not feel it is being performed safely.

Every near-miss is preventable. Every accident is preventable.
